All consumer fireworks — including sparklers, snakes and bottle rockets — are prohibited on public and private property inside Edmond city limits, including Arcadia Lake. Minimum fine $260 plus confiscation. Report violations to Edmond police non-emergency at 405-359-4338.
Consumer fireworks, including sparklers, snakes and bottle rockets, are banned inside Oklahoma City limits.
Piedmont still bans fireworks inside city limits despite the 2026 state law change.
Under the 2026 Rocket's Red Glare Act (SB 1948), counties can't stop private, non-commercial displays on private property when no county burn ban and no Red Flag Fire Warning conditions are in effect. You must notify your local fire department before lighting.
Rules last checked September 2026. Cities can change their ordinances and burn bans can be declared at any time, so confirm with your city before you shoot.

Not inside Edmond city limits. Edmond bans all consumer fireworks, including sparklers, on public and private property, and the 2026 state law did not change that. Oklahoma City and Piedmont ban them too. Unincorporated Oklahoma County allows private displays on private property when there is no burn ban or Red Flag Fire Warning, as long as you notify your local fire department first. Check which jurisdiction your address is in before you shoot.
Yes, statewide, as of 2026. The Rocket's Red Glare Act (SB 1948) made bottle rockets legal consumer fireworks in Oklahoma for the first time since 1981 — unless a city bans them. Spencer, for example, still prohibits bottle rockets and stick rockets inside city limits.
State law now allows licensed Oklahoma retailers to sell consumer fireworks year-round (SB 1948, 2026). Before that, retail sales were limited to roughly June 15–July 6 and December 15–January 2. Where and when you can shoot them is still set by your city or county.
Oklahoma law makes it illegal to sell fireworks to children under 12 unless they are accompanied by an adult. See our guide to Oklahoma fireworks age requirements.
Not in unincorporated areas under a county burn ban or when Red Flag Fire Warning conditions exist (winds over 20 mph, humidity under 25% and very dry fuels). Cities can also tighten their rules during a ban. Check the Oklahoma Forestry Services burn ban map before you light anything.

Cakes, 500g aerials, artillery shells, firecrackers, roman candles, fountains, sparklers, novelties and value assortments.
Most shows from our Edmond store are built from a few kinds of fireworks: 500g cakes for the big finish, parachute fireworks that drift back down after the burst, fountains for a steady shower of sparks, and ground spinners and firework wheels to keep the youngest crowd busy. Round it out with tube fireworks, and grab a store sack or other merchandise to carry it all.
